About Me   Hello ~ My name is Nichole Huotari.  I am an artist specializing in roses and children in oil.  I love to paint and decorate.  I have a beautiful studio that my loving husband built for me to work in and have annual sales.  I am so grateful for God's many blessings to me and giving me a dream in my heart.  It is so wonderful to wake up in the morning and be excited to create!  Life is truly precious and I try to make each day have purpose and appreciate it for the gift that it is.     My studio is an expression of myself.  It is a large canvas for me to work on and create in.  I love romantic, lovingly worn, distressed pieces.  Older things have soul and character.  It is so rewarding to take "junk" and recreate it, making it beautiful and giving it purpose again.  It truly is a passion of mine and at times it is hard to keep in check ~ ask my husband LOL!  I can see potential everywhere in everything.  It is hard to shut it off.  We can be watching a movie as a family and I will notice the architecture or how a room is decorated.  We can be out driving around and my husband will notice a cool vintage car or the wildlife and what I notice is the old fallen down barn with perfect chippy paint and windows with the grills. I am always out on the hunt for treasures.                                          Another passion of mine is gardening!  When I want to relax I go out to my gardens.  I love to weed, water, dead head and transplant.  What a miracle a garden is!  It amazes me how you can plant a seed and give it some tlc and a beautiful flower is created!  I love to walk around and see how it changes and grows.  I decorate my gardens with architectural finds and rusty vintage pieces.  It gives the garden a room like feel.  I am definitely a learn as you go gardener and have made a lot of mistakes, but I feel I am getting a handle on it.  My gardens are another canvas for me to work on.  I love that I can only do so much and I leave the rest of the beauty and creation to God!  He is a wonderful artist!                             I would like to introduce you to my family ~ Next to me is my talented husband who believes in me and my dreams.  Without his support I would not be able to be a work at home mom and have a wonderful studio that he built for me to work in.  My oldest son is Jacob who is brilliant and talented in many ways acedemically and artistically.  Then there is Isaac who is my little tree climber.  As well as being a wonderful artist too, he is very gifted with a wonderful imagination and attention to details.  And then there is my baby girl who is my little shadow.  When she grows up she says she wants to be a mommy, an artist, and a gardener just like me!  What greater compliment can you get?!  What a lucky girl I am to have been blessed in so many ways.  God is truly great and good!  I give all Glory to Him for without Him I would not have what I do.     It was nice to share myself and my family with you and I thank you for taking time to visit and get to know more about me.  God Bless! ~ Nichole
